Welcome the new Police Chief!
The Gazette reports Nolan Ryan, nominated to be the next Anytown police chief, said Monday he will keep strengthening relationships with other city departments, much like his predecessor, Pete Carey.
Anytown Mayor Bill Letsky chose Nolan after a national search drummed up 640 applicants.
Ryan's official first day is still pending confirmation by the City Council, but a majority of council members say they expect it will be approved at the next council meeting.
