Voter Information

Voter Registration

In order to participate in Town Meeting, Annual Town Elections, State Elections & Primaries, Presidential Elections or hold public office, you must be registered to vote in the community where you live. Please note that if you have moved within West Boylston, notify the Town Clerk of your new address. Your voter registration does not follow you.

You may register to vote in West Boylston if you are: a resident of the town AND a citizen of the United States AND at least 18 years of age as of the next election.

You will remain on our list of voters as long as you vote regularly or complete and return the annual municipal census.  If you move to another city or town, you must re-register in the new community.

How to Register

To register to vote, you must complete a voter registration form.  All questions on the voter registration form must be answered truthfully, under the penalty of perjury. Questions on the affidavit include your name, address and date of birth.  If this is the first time you have registered to vote in the Commonwealth of Massachusetts, you will need to provide identification, either with your registration form, or the first time you vote.  There is no waiting period to be eligible to register to vote.

You can register to vote in several ways:

  • In Person:  Come to the Town Clerk’s Office and complete the affidavit of registration.
  • Online: Visit this page on the Secretary of the Commonwealth's website. To use this system you must have a valid driver's license, learner's permit, or non-driver ID issued by the Massachusetts Registry of Motor Vehicles (RMV). You must also have a signature on file with the RMV.
  • By Mail:  Complete a mail-in registration form and deliver it to the Town Clerk’s Office. Mail-in registration forms can be obtained by contacting the Town Clerk’s Office or found at Town Hall, Beaman Library, and other locations around the State. You can download a registration form here.  You should receive a confirmation notice in 2 to 3 weeks.
  • At the Registry of Motor Vehicles:  You can register to vote, or change your registration at the Registry of Motor Vehicles.  Keep your receipt until you receive a confirmation notice.  Note: if you choose to renew your drivers license on line, the option to register to vote at the RMV is not available.
